Notes from the Winemaker:

56% Martinelli Charles Ranch, 21% RitchieVineyard, 12% Platt Vineyard, and 11% Hyde Robert Young. This is the fourth vintage to be dominated by the Martinelli Charles Ranch on Bohan Dillon Road. Planted in 1982, this is one of the most spectacular vineyards in Sonoma County. Our Sonoma Coast bottling reflects its region and so is a bit crisper and leaner than our Russian River.

Ratings & Reviews

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"From Ramey’s generic series, the 2011 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast is tart and fresh offering good orange rind, lemon blossom and white currant notes as well as little evidence of oak. It is a more French-styled Chardonnay than a full-blown, exotic California rendition. Drink it over the next 1-2 years." -Robert Parker (Dec 2013)

91 Points - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar (2010 vintage):
"Bright yellow-gold. Complex scents of poached pear, peach, iodine and toasty lees. Lush and creamy in texture, with an exotic quality to its fresh orchard and pit fruit flavors. Suave, rich and lively, finishing on a dry, refreshingly bitter lemon zest note with very good persistence." - Josh Raynolds (May/Jun 13)

Wine Spectator Magazine (2010 vintage):
"Fresh and zesty, with a tight, subtle mix of green apple, honeydew melon and spice, this is graceful and elegant through the finish. Drink now through 2017. 6,975 cases made." –JL (Jun 30, 2013)
