Notes from the Winemaker:
FRIULANO Really autochthonous? Recent claims that have brought a change in the name make answering quite difficult. In any event, permanently linked to the history of the region of Friuli, perhaps it is the most interesting white wine of the territory.
Its great balance, with an aromatic tone, promotes it to cousin of the Sauvignon, with a complexity that makes it full-bodied. Many offerings are characterized by forced macerations and above average alcohol levels.
The more cautious style of the Puiatti name presents a more elegant version, baptizing it VUJ, or that is "eye", sight, beacon for the "future of tradition".

Ratings & Reviews
Vuj does a nice job of portraying those rich aromas of peach, melon and white rose that are natural to the promising Friulano grape. Made with the banner variety of northeast Italy, this easy white wine shows fresh fruit layers and balanced acidity." - M.L. (6/1/2013)
