About the winery:
Pommery & Greno was founded in 1858 by Alexandre Louis Pommery and Narcisse Greno after Monsiuer Pommery learned his wife was expecting another child just after he had decided to retire from wool trading. Unfortunately, he passed away only a year later, but his widow Louise took the reigns and the firm was dedicated to Champagne production. It soon became one of the region's largest Champagne brands - they were the first house to commercialize a brut Champagne in 1874, and they are currently owned by the Vranken-Pommery Monopole Group, which also owns Heidsieck & Co Monopole and Vranken, Château la Gordonne, Domaine Royal de Jarras, and Rozès.

Notes from the Winemaker:
It is tender pale pink in color, the mark of a fresh, charming wine.

This wine is full of life, with notes of berries, red currants, fresh pomegranate, and kiwifruit.

This wine was made from a blend of white wines and one red wine, resulting in a fruit-forward rose that is not too tannic or too powerful. This character is confirmed by a tart, fruity freshness that suggests pure, delicate indulgence.

One sip gives an instantaneous pleasure of freshness and simplicity¦ It is a taste of what nature has to offer on a beautiful spring day.

Ratings & Reviews

93 Points - Decanter Magazine:
"A fine and fruity champagne with a pretty blush pink colour and scented nose of sweet strawberries. The palate is succulent and juicy, mouthwatering, with a delicious redcurrant, raspberry and lemon citrus zing. The texture is smooth with persistent bubbles. This bottling is stored in the cellar for three years to develop its distinctive properties of balance, precision and elegance. Perfect as an aperitif." - GH (Jan 2021)

Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"This crisp and fruity Champagne is deliciously fresh with acidity, red-currant and orange-zest flavors and a tight edge of minerality. With its fine balance and three years aging before disgorgement it is finely poised and ready to drink." - Roger Voss (12/1/2020)
