About the Wine:

Regis Camus, winemaker at Piper-Heidsieck, has carefully selected the best Champagne crus to produce a wine of excellent quality, as for all the Piper-Heidsieck cuvees. This delightful, ample and generous champagne reveals a subtle, gentle combination of freshness and liveliness. The winemaker chose Piper Heidsieck's emblematic cuvee as a base and has accentuated softer aromas to endow this wine with a personality all of its own.

On the eye: An extremely warm, copper color. Silky effervescence.

On the nose: First come floral notes of violet leading to generous aromas of dried fruits, caramelised pear, cinnamon and vanilla. Praline, nougatine and the hint of rum baba add to a final gourmet touch.

On the palate: A freshness that gives way to a gentle impression of smooth fullness. Flavors of nearly caramelised pineapple flambe and pastries come to the fore. The finish evokes mild spices such as vanilla and cinnamon to create a wine presenting a subtle balance of gourmet warmth and freshness.

Ratings & Reviews

91+ Points - Wine Advocate:
"A very creditable contribution to what has become an unfashionable genre is Piper-Heidsieck's NV Demi-Sec Cuvée Sublime, a lovely wine that wafts from the glass with aromas of honeyed peaches, fresh pastry, nectarine and caramelized citrus. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, with good depth at the core, racy acids and a fine mousse, concluding with a precise finish that avoids any suggestion of cloying sweetness despite its off-dry style. Expect it to sing with additional bottle age." - William Kelley (August 2019)

89 Points - Wine Enthusiast:

"An off-dry Champagne designed more as an aperitif than for the end of the meal, this is elegant and well balanced, with flavors of baked apple and spice. This bottling has some age and it is ready to drink." (December 2019)
