About the Winery:
In 2000 Jeremy and Jacques Seysses of Domaine Dujac launched a new venture that redefined the role of the négociant. Under the name Dujac Fils et Père, the son/father team established partnerships with some of the top growers in Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey Saint-Denis and Chambolle-Musigny. They also continued to work with the growers in Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet with whom they had relationships under their Druid Wines label.

The resulting Dujac Fils et Père wines are among the best that Burgundy has to offer. Each wine is made with the same care and attention that the family lavishes on their Domaine Dujac bottlings. Nearly all come from old vines with Jeremy and Jacques controlling the farming methods, yields and harvesting dates. Once at the winery the grapes are crushed, fermented, aged in 50%-new French oak barrels and bottled without filtration whenever possible. As with Dujac’s estate offerings, the essence of these wines is in the pure, accurate, unadulterated presentation of each individual terroir.

Ratings & Reviews

95 Points - Decanter Magazine:
"This wine is the finest of the negociant offerings from Dujac — easily tops even the Chambolle. There is a marvellous forward blackberry and mulberry fruit aroma with a hint of exotic earth and game aromas. The texture is pure velvet, plump with extract and deliciously sweet fruit through the lingering finish. The grapes, sourced from a mid-slope plot near Vosne, are fermented mostly as whole clusters prior to ageing in cask to produce this excellent wine.(CC)

91-94 Points - Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy:
Fine purple, a little more reduction. Darker cherry fruit, then with a more evident white pepper spice. Floral notes on top of the dark fruit, seamless across the palate, not overstated but fine and long with a detailed suave yet refreshing finish. Drink from 2030-2036.

90-93 Points - Burghound:
Yet again there is a marked floral character to the nose of earthier dark berries and discreet sauvage nuances. The slightly bigger and richer flavors possess a highly seductive texture with even more evident minerality adding a sense of lift to the powerful and impressively persistent finish that is noticeably firmer.

90-92 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
Supple and perfumed, the 2022 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Cras delivers aromas of plums, raw cocoa, vine smoke, orange rind and petals, followed by a medium to full-bodied, pure and seamless palate. This will offer a broad drinking window.(WK)
