About the Winery:
Maison & Domaines Les Alexandrins is the story of three friends combining the savoir-faire they learned from their parents and grandparents and the fruits from beautiful and historic terroirs. Nicolas Jaboulet, the 6th generation of a winegrowing family in Tain l'Hermitage, Guillaume Sorrel, son of Marc Sorrel of Domaine Sorrel in Hermitage, and Alexandre Caso, a specialist in the terroirs of the Northern Rhône, joined forces in 2012. They began working parcel by parcel in Crozes-Hermitage for the wines of Maison Nicolas Perrin. In 2015, the name was changed to Maison & Domaines Les Alexandrins. Today, Maison & Domaines Les Alexandrins produces Northern Rhône wines that are true and classic expressions of the region.
About this Wine:
Maison Les Alexandrins, a signature modern in approach and contemporary in style. An elegant, fresh, aromatic wine, the perfect wine for an aperitif.
Terroir: Located from high-altitude vineyards of the Ardèche, our vines benefit from cool temperatures.
Fermented and aged in stainless steel vats at low temperature.
Tasting Notes:
Superb bright color with golden undertones. This particularly fresh vintage allows Viognier to offer its rich aromatic bouquet with exotic notes. The nose shows a magnificent bouquet of aromas of white peaches and citrus fruit. On the palate, it shows balance and freshness, thanks to a beautiful acidity. A very seductive wine, to be tasted in its youth.
Ratings & Reviews
Wine Enthusiast:
"This was made in a ripe, plump style, with roasted peach and dried-fig notes. Showy and balanced." - Aleks Zecevic (Nov 2024)
