The 2024 growing season brought a mild, wet start and unusually early budding, followed by damaging mid-April frosts that cut yields by up to 60% on affected vines; a wet, laborious flowering in late May\/June gave way to a hot, dry July and August that accelerated ripening, with harvest beginning September 20th and wrapping within three weeks.
