Ratings & Reviews

90-92 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2017 Beaune 1er Cru Aux Cras (Domaine Gagey) unfurls in the glass with aromas of sweet berry fruit, raw cocoa and candied peel. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and supple, with juicy acids, attractive purity and an elegant sense of completeness. In 2015 and 2016, I felt that this bottling—from a parcel of sélection massale Pinot Noir purchased from the erstwhile Château de Chorey—rivaled the Clos des Ursules; in 2017, that isn't the case, but it remains one of the finest Beaunes in the Jadot portfolio." - William Kelley (Jan 2019)

90-92 Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous Media:
"The 2017 Beaune Cras 1er Cru has a lovely, almost enveloping bouquet of macerated red cherries, raspberry and hoisin aromas that are perhaps the most expressive of Jadot’s seven Beaunes that I tasted out of barrel. The palate is medium-bodied with a fleshy, quite generous opening and plenty of red plum, strawberry and light marmalade notes. There is a little sinew to the Beaune Cras, exerting an insistent grip toward the persistent finish. This is another very fine Beaune from Jadot." - Neal Martin (Jan 2019)
