  • The Fût de Chêne MV (MV as in Multi Vintage) is the most complete and richest expression of the house style. This wine is aged in solera, thus combining several vintages. The 2017 vintage is in the majority in this cuvée MV 17, representing more than two thirds of the blend. This champagne comes exclusively from the Ay Grand Crus terroir and spends 12 months in small oak barrels from the Argonne forest, then 6 years on the lees in bottles. A magnificent vintage for connoisseurs.
  • Champagne Henri Giraud, a House directed by Claude Giraud from an old family settled in Aÿ for several generations on a vineyard located mainly on the mountain of Aÿ.
  • A Champagne originating exclusively from the Ay Grand Cru and vinified 12 months in oak barrels.
  • Today 323 vintages of Champagne have the right to produce Champagne but only 17 are legally classified as "Grands Crus."
  • Aÿ, classified as Grand Cru, is the geographical, qualitative and historical heart of Champagne.

Ratings & Reviews

96 Points - James Suckling:
So much orange blossom, hints of peach tatin, iron, and chalk on both the nose and palate. Menthol undertones. Full-bodied, with a gorgeous texture and sensibility. Elegant and caressing in the finish. Captivating. Drink or hold.

94 Points - Wine Spectator:

A vivid Champagne, with lime blossom, graphite and ground cardamom notes serving as a fragrant thread that winds through flavors of baked white peach and pineapple fruit, coffee liqueur, candied mandarin orange peel and fleur de sel. The mousse is fine and creamy, a luxurious layer wrapping the racy spine of acidity.
