About the wine:

GRAPE VARIETY Blend of white Grenache Blanc (60%) and Clairette (40%).

SOIL Essentially clay-limestone soil.

VINIFICATION After pressing, the must is cold-settled for 48 hours. Fermentation temperatures are controlled.

MATURING Maturing in vats without malolactic fermentation. Early bottling at the end of winter.

TASTING Colour: bright, pale golden colour with silver hints. Nose: Aromas of white flowers and white fruits. Palate: Nicely balanced wine, the Clairette brings the freshness and the white Grenache brings the body and softness.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
A fresh, fruit-driven wine, the 2019 Cotes du Rhone Blanc Samorens delivers a bouquet redolent of tangerine, ripe melon and lime. It's medium-bodied, just plump enough to let you know it comes from a warm climate and a warm vintage, without being overly rich or heavy. Nicely balanced and refreshing, it should drink well for a couple of years.

Wine Spectator:
Fresh and floral, with honeysuckle, quinine and white peach notes laced with a subtle quinine thread on the finish. 5,000 cases made, 800 cases imported.
