About the Wine:
This wine is recognizable by its golden, brilliant and clear colour. The pleasure starts with the very fine nose which evokes white flowers and exotic fruit, honey and vanilla. It carries on in the mouth where one discovers a full, generous wine whose roundness, suppleness and freshness express the very notion of harmony. It concludes on a mineral note which sharpens its complexity.

Tasting Note:
Pale yellow color. A bouquet of great finesse with subtle apricot and white peach scents.
The wine reveals its complexity on the palate: expressive, fleshy, delicate, fine and tannic. The finish lingers on nicely. This is a rich, smooth wine.

Ratings & Reviews

95 Points - James Suckling:
"Delicate aromas of lemon blossom and apricots with just a hint of flint that expands with aeration, that turns more and more in a creamy direction. An extremely elegant white Burgundy with great focus and stony minerality at the long finish. The concentration is there, but doesn’t make a big noise. Excellent integration of discrete oak and fruit. From two parcels in the mid-slope of this site. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold." (Jun 2023)

93 Points - Decanter Magazine:
"The aromas of the white from the Clos de l’Arlot range from bright lemon peel to ripe apricot, and expand on the palate to include a touch of honey. The texture is lively and fresh, but there is a waxy breadth here that gives it richness and length. The grapes come from the centre of the clos from vines planted in thin soils right over limestone at 250 metres. They are pressed as whole clusters and fermented in cask (20% new)." - Charles Curtis MW (Oct 2022)

90-92 Points - Jasper Morris' Inside Burgundy:
"Pale lemon, attractive, this wine is better balanced in that the texture is less thick and offers greater length while the fruit covers the acidity. There is a little barrel toast, though only 20% new wood was employed, and the fruit is more pear than apple. All quite well integrated with decent length. Drink from 2025-2029." (Nov 2022)

90-92 Points - Vinous Media:
"The 2021 Nuits Saint-Grorges Clos de l'Arlot Blanc 1er Cru, matured in 20% new oak, was taken from tank on the lees, due to be racked right after my visit. This is perfumed and seductive: wild peach with orange blossom and light blackcurrant leaf aromas, quite Meursault-like. The palate is well balanced with a fine citrus edge: orange pith and fresh pear, a touch of stem ginger, composed and harmonious on the finish. Delicious." - Neal Martin (Jan 2023)
