About This Wine:
Founded in 1989, Domaine Catherine & Didier Tripoz is located in the southern part of the Mâcon appellation, with an area of 13 ha (about 32 acres) planted mainly with Chardonnay, but also some Pinot Noir and Gamay. The age of the vines is between 20 and 65 years (average 45 years) and as of 2018, they have converted to organic farming.
Golden in appearance with green reflections, this wine can be drunk young: you will then appreciate it as an aperitif or from the start of a meal, for its liveliness, the power of its fruit and flower flavors and its persistent aromas. Currently it is mineral balanced with a fruity touch. It will improve for at least 5 years, and will then develop vanilla aromas, some buttery notes and aromas of honey and quince, very long in the mouth.

"This starts with a great bouquet of freshly sliced green apple, mandarin orange, jasmine and marzipan. The wine is full-bodied and rich with vivid flavors of ripe white peaches, honeycrisp apples, and a faint dash of lemon curd. Here comes the fun part: just as you start to think this wine is "too luscious" a mouthwatering beam of focused acidity and salinity makes the gulp simply sublime. The satisfying finish lingers on for far longer than any other wine in this category. Actually, everything about this wine is better than anything I've tasted at this price, period. This will drink great every single day over the next five years."
