Notes from the Winemaker:
90 points- Wine Spectator Magazine:
Bold flavors of blood orange, maraschino cherry, rose petal and pomegranate mingle in this full-bodied rose. Citrus peel acidity and light tannins impart structure. This shows the character and color of a light red wine. Distinctive. Drink now through 2016. 2,000 cases imported. - TM (July 31, 2015)
Antonio Galloni's Vinous Media:
Lurid pink. Deeply pitched cherry and black raspberry aromas are lifted by a peppery nuance. Broad and fleshy on the palate, offering bitter cherry and anise flavors along with a bitter orange pith nuance. Finishes with firm grip, building warmth and good cling. -Josh Raynolds (Apr. 2015)
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
The just-bottled 2014 Cune Rosado is a bright-colored rose produced with Tempranillo grapes. It is fresh, clean and floral with a pleasant and easy-to-drink character. It would be ideal with tapas. 200,000 bottles produced. (April 2015)
Elegant strawberry red, with bluish reminiscences. Good aromatic intensity of red fruits, highlighting by a pleasant aroma of licorice, characteristic of the Tempranillo. Unctuous palate and balanced by a good sensory evolution of the wine.
