Primarily from the superb 35 year old vines of the hot-climate Peter Nessin Vineyard and 10% from the 40 year old vines of the Solari vineyard both in Calistoga, this inaugural release is a softer, gentler styled Zinfandel than one might expect. Aromas of rose petals, sandalwood, strawberry, cherry jam and roasted herbs opens to full-bodied richness, soft acidity and polished fine tannins with an enduring finish of dark fruit and cigar spice. Not yet rated. 300 cases.
