Notes from the Winemaker:
A deep dark nose, with notes of cassis, blueberry, sweet vanilla, pie crust and a light smokiness. The mouthfeel is masculine, with blueberry and black stone fruit, ground coffee and tar. The finish delivers cinnamon spice, raspberry seed, turmeric and cold ash.

Vineyard Notes:

Ratings & Reviews

89 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Deux Chevaux Vineyard has good, sweet fruit, a dense ruby/purple color, nice cassis and blackberries, medium to full body, dry tannin, but overall excellent depth, richness and length. This wine should age nicely for 12-15 years." - Robert M. Parker, Jr. (Dec 2015)

Wine Enthusiast:
"A Cab-based wine with 20% Merlot, this has juicy blackberry and currant to soften the overreaching tannic profile. Blessed in cedar and tobacco, this also presents a strong showing of dried herb. The fruit leans black and blue, from blueberry to black plum, a nod to the Merlot." - Virginia Boone (9/1/2015)
