Notes from the Winemaker:
Alliance is a Bordeaux Left-Bank style blend, an approachable wine that is ready to drink at release. It offers a nose of lavender and dried flowers, and a palate of chocolate and both red and black fruits, with a round, juicy mid-palate and a lingering finish. The Alliance cuvee is most like a red Pessac-Léognan style of wine, driven by our most aromatic lots of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon as a base for structure and weight.
Viticulture:
Captûre's estate fruit is grown at Tin Cross Vineyards. Every vine is organically farmed and maintained to meet rigorous field specifications, a practice which yields healthier, more sustainable vines that positively contribute to the longevity of the land and the quality of the fruit produced.
Winemaker: May-Britt and Denis Malbec
Appellation: Pine Mountain - Cloverdale Peak, Sonoma County
Varietal Composition: 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot, 1% Cabernet Franc
Harvest Date: October 8, 21, 27, 30 & November 5, 200
