Ratings & Reviews

93 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2015 Moscadello di Montalcino Vendemmia Tardiva (with 3,150 500-milliliter bottles produced) is a rare and precious wine that speaks to the storied past traditions of Montalcino when production of Moscadello grossly outpaced that of Brunello. Today, only a handful of producers continue to make this wine, and I suspect those numbers will continue to decline. Indeed, this year I only received six samples of Moscadello di Montalcino (two of which were made by Capanna). Five years ago, there were double that number of samples to review. This wine delivers sun-drenched aromas of candied fruit, honey and candied apricot. The mouthfeel is silky, long, perfumed and delicately sweet." - Monica Larner (28th Feb 2019)
