Notes from the Winemaker:
Champ Gains is located at the crest of the slope between Chassagne and Puligny; the plot totals just under half a hectare, planted in 1988. Clay and fragmented rock soil.
Ratings & Reviews
96 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"Showing a similar level of minerality, with gorgeous tart apple, spice, crushed rocks, and citrus pith aromas and flavors, the 2017 Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Champs Gains hits the palate with medium-bodied richness, bright yet integrated acidity, a tight, vibrant texture, and a great finish. It's one of the gems in this report as well as a brilliant white from this estate that should be snatched up by readers." - Jeb Dunnuck (11/5/2019)
