About the Whiskey:
A blend of 12 year-old Kentucky bourbon and 10 year-old Indiana bourbon finished in Chateau de Laubade Armagnac barrels for 16 or 24 months - 107 proof (53.5% ABV)

Tasting notes:
Baked pear with nutmeg, cinnamon, and sage lays on toffee, brown sugar, and almond. On the palate, vanilla bean, rich oak, and golden raisin combine to create an outstanding finish of refined flavor.

Awards/Ratings:

Platinum - Ascot Awards 2023

"A Rock-and-Rye nose turns into solid classic bourbon flavors on the palate like caramel, vanilla and well placed oak, all wrapped up in a round and luscious mouthfeel."

Double Gold - SF World Spirits Competition 2023

90 Points - Intl Wine & Spirits Competition 2023

"Vibrant and aromatic, full of confected fruit, toffee and caramel with a hint of menthol. Toasted cereal flavours and rye reveal themselves on the palate, before a long, spicy finish."

"The sip carries a refined aged oak note that balances well with sweet and spicy flavors throughout. The finish is the star of the show thanks to its rich notes of sweet and spice along with a nice aged oak component. Bardstown Château De Laubade contains a nice amount of spice that will appeal to rye lovers, however, its sweeter notes do a good job of keeping the overall sip in check, maintaining appeal to bourbon lovers as well. If you’re a lover of Armagnac or just a lover of really good blended bourbon that is barrel finished, Bardstown Château De Laubade is worth the price of admission."

- Breaking Bourbon

93 Points - Whisky Advocate

"Thanks to its finishing casks, there are dried and syrupy fruits on the nose, cherry cordial candies, raisins, figs, along with sugared pecans, maple syrup, candied ginger, and leather. That finishing asserts itself even more strongly on the palate, which is fruity and sweet, becoming better integrated with water: cherries, blackberry and raspberry jams, figs, raisins, pecans, milk chocolate, ginger, white pepper, and coffee bean. Incredible length on the finish, with more dried fruit, leather, hazelnuts, ginger, and white pepper." (2020 Edition)
