Ratings & Reviews
93 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"Slightly darker in color than the 2012, the 2013 Two Blondes Vineyard has terrific Cabernet notes of black currants, black cherries, coffee bean, tobacco leaf and spring flowers. Rich, medium to full-bodied, beautifully concentrated and structured, with building, fine tannin on the finish, this beauty is approachable today, but will cruise in the cellar for 15+ years." - Jeb Dunnuck (Sep 2016)
92 Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous Media:
"Bright medium red. Knockout nose combines redcurrant, milk chocolate, thyme and musky smoky oak. Wonderfully sweet and plush, offering terrific plummy depth and smoky complexity in a style that reminded me of a Saint-Emilion. More red fruits than black, and very sophisticated in texture. Finishes with suave tannins and excellent length. I may be underestimating the potential longevity of this lovely blend because it's so sexy today." - Stephen Tanzer (Nov 2017)
91 Points - Wine Spectator Magazine:
"Plush and generous, with lightly prickly tannins dancing around a supple core of ripe cherry, blueberry and spice. Finishes with a nice cut of acidity. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. 1,017 cases made." –HS (Jun 2016)
91 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"This wine is a blend of Merlot (44%), Cabernet Sauvignon (34%) and Cabernet Franc. Fragrant aromas of raspberries, orange peel, red currant and garden herbs lead to restrained but sumptuous fruit flavors backed by a lick of tart acidity. It brings a sense of presence and depth." - SS (Feb 2017)
91 Points - James Suckling:
"Plenty of ripe plums and some violet-like floras. The palate has a very smooth flowing mouthfeel, carrying the riper plums easy and long. Elegant with deep flavors on offer. A blend of 44% merlot, 34% cabernet sauvignon and 22% cabernet franc. Drink now." (May 2018)
17/20 Points - Jancis Robinson:
"Lots of ripe primary fruit with sweet tobacco aromas giving complexity. This has all the ripeness of a warm climate, with the depth and intensity to age well. Just slightly hot alcohol on the finish." - Richard Hemming MW (9/20/18)
