The fruit in this bottling of 100% Pinot Grigio is from a selected vineyard in Magrè, Salorno and the northern part of Trentino, situated at an altitude of 220 - 350 meters. The region has a warm mesoclimate with big variations between day and night temperatures and soils made up of gravel/sand with limestone content. Small amount of fruit is whole cluster fermented. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by maturation on the fine lees for four months.
The Terra Alpina wines are characterized by a unique interplay of harsh Alpine and sunny Mediterranean influences.

Tasting Notes

Aromatically the wine has notes of wildflowers, melons, orchard fruits and a hint of warm spices. On the palate the wine surprisingly medium bodied with a slightly waxy mouth feel, with ripe fruit flavors and a lingering flavor of white pepper.

Ratings & Reviews

"Lively acidity and tangy salinity drive this creamy, light-bodied white, whose flavors of pineapple, apricot and lemon thyme show a zesty orange peel edge, followed by a lingering finish. Drink now." —AN

90 Points & Best Buy - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"Crisp, clean and linear, this snappy, savory white features white-spring-flower, ripe pear and lemon-zest sensations. Bright acidity and tangy saline notes give it a racy edge and a pristine finish." - Kerin O'Keefe (May 2020)

Vinous Media:
"The 2019 Terra Alpina Pinot Grigio is minerally intense and lifted with aromas of dried yellow flowers, lime zest and crushed green apple. It’s vibrant and comes across as almost salty with its savory herbal tones, offsetting notes of ripe pear and inner florals that linger long on the palate." - Eric Guido (Nov 2020)
